Since 2015, Farm has been providing safe access to cannabis in a discreet and professional environment while remaining customer focused and service minded in a high volume retail setting. The Farm inventory team is responsible for all receiving and processing of all incoming products as well as the management of all standing inventory in-store. The Inventory Supervisor assists the assistant manager with leadership and training to all members of the Inventory team, ensuring the loss prevention and inventory control strategy, execution, and while assuring quality control over all perishable and non-perishable products.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The Inventory Supervisor reports directly to the Inventory Assistant Manager and Store Manager.

  • Assists in training and developing the inventory team utilizing up to date standardized operating procedures and Farm management tools.

  • Demonstrates leadership by boosting team morale and inspiring a culture of service and learning.

  • Maintains knowledge of each product within the complete range of new and current products available for purchase in store.

  • Inputs purchase orders into Inventory Management System in collaboration with the Farm Buyer.

  • Assists with receiving of product physically and inputting into the POS/IMS system as deliveries arrive.

  • Ensures quality assurance (data integrity) over inventory data within inventory management system (POS/IMS).

  • Assists with leading daily/weekly auditing of inventory, all locations, based on inventory audit schedule.

  • Performs adjustments on inventory as needed following the Farm adjustment procedure.

  • Generates reports from Inventory Management System as required.

  • Execute replenishment of product for front of house.

  • Inventory Reports: Tracks inventory history, location transfer reports, ticket history, monthly returns and adjustments report.

  • Collaboratively work with the FOH Team to ensure merchandising standards are maintained at all times.

  • Execution of marketing initiatives.

  • Identify and resolve issues in a collaborative, effective, and timely manner.

  • Maintain a safe environment throughout the store.

  • Ensures that the back of house is maintained to be bright, organized, and clean.

  • Perform cycle counts in a timely and accurately manner.

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Working knowledge of most recently updated BC Cannabis Retail Stores provincial regulations.

  • Strong working knowledge of POS systems, Word, and Excel.

  • Strong communication skills, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Significant cannabis knowledge required

  • BC Cannabis Selling It Right required

  • WorkSafe BC regulations knowledge an asset

Terms of Employment:

  • Full-time; between 24-40 hours weekly

  • Must be able to work a variety of night/ weekend/ split shifts when required

  • Reports to: Assistant Inventory Manager and Store Manager.

  • Constant bending, carrying, lifting up to 25 Kg.
