JOB SUMMARY

Cresco Labs is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounts Payable to join our corporate finance team in Chicago, IL. The Senior Manager, Accounts Payable manages all aspects of the Accounts Payable including invoice processing, payment processing, month end accruals, internal controls and master data creation. This role oversees a team of AP Supervisor, AP Team Leads and AP Analyst, and reporting to the Director of Shared Services Accounting.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Lead all activities and operations in the accounts payable function for the organization
  • Key leader, driving continuous improvement of processes and procedures as company expands in to new and established markets
  • Assist with implementation of additional accounting modules and add-on reporting systems, including ERP implementation
  • Ensure analysis of invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment
  • Managing timely payments of vendor invoices
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and control reports
  • Work closely with the Treasury Manager and Analyst to forecast cash for 13-week forecasting process
  • Work closely with the Corporate Accounting team to ensure proper coding of AP invoices and accruals
  • Ensure integration/expansion of AP processes in newly acquired businesses and expanding markets.
  • Documentation and development of SOPs, process maps, and key controls in the functional area under supervision.
  • Support the year-end financial audit and tax preparation process by maintaining accurate records in line with the Company's document retention policy
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders (such as Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Procurement, IT, business functions, and external service providers)
  • In conjunction with the Director of Shared Services Accounting identify areas of improvement to enable a rapid scale of growth while improving stakeholder experience
  • Other Duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's in business related field (Accounting, Business Administration), Certified Payables Manager (APM) or CPA desirable
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable management or another related role
  • Previous management experience required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and consistent follow through on assigned tasks
  • Public company experience, including SOX controls, highly preferred
  • Project management experience highly preferred
  • Experience with financial accounting and ERP systems (SAP and/or Sage Intacct preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office required
  • Enjoys working in a start-up, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner
