Senior Supply Planning Analyst

Reporting to the Director, Supply Planning, the Senior Supply Planning Analyst is an integral part of the planning and supply chain process and is a primary link between Supply Chain functions. This role will focus on communicating, measuring and delivering supply chain performance and improvements, with heavy emphasis on problem solving, internal collaboration, and decision making. A strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain, planning cycles, inventory management, and demand planning fundamentals are critical to success.


  • Play a leading role in the S&OP process to support and drive business objectives
  • Drive initiatives that support reduced cost and improved service levels
  • Identifying supply gaps and propose mitigation solutions
  • Consolidate and analyze demand and supply information for operational and strategic plans, and uses data to drive on-time delivery, establish lead times, and inventory turns
  • Determine target inventory and planning method policies for major products with input from business and segment leaders
  • Maintain data, conduct analysis, and report to key stakeholders regarding key performance indicators. Track and drive related improvement activities
  • Develop and recommend inventory targets to meet desired service levels while minimizing working capital requirements
  • Place necessary purchase orders and interact / follow up with vendors as required
  • Perform DRP activities including creation of transfers as required
  • Respond and approve inquiries regarding inventory supply, abnormal movements, and customer inventory returns
  • Investigate and help explore resolution for Supply Chain service level complaints
  • Liaise as appropriate with all areas of the business including Sales, Customer Support, Operations, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance and others
  • Create, maintain, and manage excel tools that support key Supply Chain processes


  • Broad knowledge and understanding of planning concepts, including but not limited to, operational planning, inventory management, demand planning, records management, constraints planning, and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities, and requirements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and efficient time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process
  • Ability to consolidate inventory and data from separate sources
  • Strong Excel modeling skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and PowerBI (or similar database tool)


  • Undergraduate degree in supply chain management, engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Supply Chain Analyst, or in a similar role
  • SCMP designation is an asset
  • Prior cannabis, CPG, or alcohol/beverage experience is an asset
