About the Role The Merchandise Planning and Analysis Team is looking for a Senior Manager, Product Master Data to join our team. As a Senior Manager, Product Master Data you will be accountable for the collection, maintenance, quality, and accuracy of data related to vendor and item onboarding. In this role, you will be responsible for scaling and advancing the capability to support OCS in listing and maintaining a growing assortment while also improving customer experience through refining product attributes to match the desires of Ontario cannabis consumers. As Senior Manager, Product Master Data you will cross functionally with internal teams to determine attribute strategy by category, leading a team of analysts to implement strategic initiatives to accurately maintain and enhance vendor and item data. You will seek out process improvement by participating in technology projects to streamline data deliverables. About your Day DATA COLLECTION & MAINTENANCE Lead OCS’s collection, maintenance, timeliness, quality and accuracy of vendor and item onboarding and data. Identify resources, processes, technologies and tools to help scale an assortment supporting an increasing vendor base and shorter lifecycles due to ever-changing consumer demands and the need for innovation. Participate in technology projects to advance process efficiency Identify opportunities to reduce the speed of product to market Improve work processes between Merchants, Online Merchandisers, Supply Chain and Finance as required ATTRIBUTE STRATEGY Lead the strategy behind attribute determination by category. This requires a consumer-centric approach by category in addition to true collaboration with both internal (digital, marketing, merchandising) and external (GS1, vendors) partners. Determining the attributes is of utmost importance to help our retailers, budtenders and consumers make the right decision and have a firm understanding of the quality and integrity of the product they purchase. Lead the attribute collection strategy to ensure OCS collects and maintains complete, high quality, and accurate attributes in timely fashion TECHNOLOGY IDENTIFICATION AND IMPLEMENTATION Utilize expertise to help identify and implement various tools and technologies that deliver increased SLAs, data accuracy and progress against other key KPIs. This requires collaboration and a demonstrated ability to work closely with IT, procurement, and supply chain functions. TEAM ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT Coach, develop, and empower a team of Product Lifecycle Analysts Ensure your team is engaged and executing effectively Ensure high quality adherence to data accuracy and delivery against SLAs Establish appropriate KPIs and success measures and communicate these across the organization. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure OCS Master Data facilitates frictionless customer and consumer experiences, while advocating for your team to ensure they are able to deliver objectives About you: Post-Secondary Education in information science, data management, computer science, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience 8+ years of experience in master data management at a retail, wholesale, or brand with material SKU counts and data complexity. 5+ years’ Experience leading a team Experience managing Microsoft D365 would be seek as an asset Experience in working with and / or implementing a Product Information Management (PIM) system Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Systems (Microsoft D365 or equivalent) Expert Microsoft Excel skills Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Strong communication skills Ability to manage effectively through ambiguity and fast-evolving business contexts Working experience with GS1 Canada (ECCnet) would be seen as an asset Experience with BI technology such as PowerBI would be seen as an asset Remote Work: This position offers a Hybrid work schedule. When the office reopens, you will be required to be in the office 1-2 days each week, with the ability to work from home for the remaining workdays (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance) When working from home, a reliable internet connection is required.
