About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Business Process & Planning to join our Merchandising team. The Senior Manager Merchandise Business Process & Planning is a critical leadership role at the OCS accountable for leading Merchandising projects and programs. The Senior Manager Business Process & Planning will cultivate strong partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to develop, define, and prioritize Merchandising project and program delivery. This leader manages the day-to-day work of a team of two Specialists.

About Your Day

  • Lead complex Merchandising projects and programs across a range of business areas, including the OCS Product Call Process, Flow Through, Farmgate, Enhancement Projects etc.
  • Be a thought leader and provide subject matter expertise in planning and prioritizing and be responsible for the Merchandising project and program portfolio
  • Manage assigned projects, ensuring effective teamwork, collaboration and communication, high standards of work quality, organizational performance, and continuous learning
  • Monitor project progress, handle issues and escalations that arise, document, and follow up on critical actions, decisions, issues, and risks
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop, define, and prioritize project and program delivery
  • Organize and guide project tasks, identifying dependencies and competing stakeholders and report on project metrics to keep project stakeholders and senior leaders up to date.
  • Liaise with cross functional teams to understand existing processes and identify potential opportunities
  • Communicate statuses and issues in a concise, accurate, and professional manner that is targeted to a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Coach, develop, and mentor a team of two specialists
  • Ensure the team is engaged and executing effectively
  • Provide guidance in setting the overall direction for operational effectiveness by monitoring KPI metrics and working closely with the team to support needs and expectations
  • Champion project management best practices within the team though training and development

About You

  • Completion of Post-Secondary Education in Business, Commerce, or related field of study
  • PMP Certification is required
  • 7+ years of project management experience
  • 7+ years of program management, commercialization, or business operations experience
  • 5+ years in managing and leading a team of direct reports
  • Experience working in a retail merchandising, beverage alcohol, or consumer packaged goods environment is required
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound organizational, analytical, judgement and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in ambiguity in a fast-paced, results oriented environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence is an asset
