Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor, The Sanitation Team Lead will be responsible for leading our Sanitation Team in the cleaning processes of our state of the art equipment in this new and exciting industry. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and technically inclined to be able to sanitize our processing/packaging equipment. This position will be located at our Leamington ON. The shift schedule for this role is Midnights.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Fostering and role modeling a positive attitude; outlook, willingness to learn and contributing to company success in their teams

  • Ensuring the effective execution of facilities tasks within established company policy, procedure and requirements (Safety, Quality, Compliance)

  • Train, coach and mentor employees to work at a level of performance identifiable with world class organizations with the goal of continuous process improvement every day

  • Identify and communicate with the Sanitation Supervisor

  • Lead and implement SOP and GMP compliance

  • Lead how to safely and effectively set-up, operate and take-down all sanitation equipment

  • Consistently evaluate worker safety, quality, SOP compliance and schedule status

  • Act as the main point of contact for all department to discuss and prioritize the weekly sanitation activities in the absence of the Sanitation Supervisor

  • Assist in the development and revision of departmental SOP’s

  • Lead all scheduling cleaning in Facility

  • All other duties as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements**

  • High School Diploma or secondary School Equivalency

  • Able to determine and prioritize proper team size per activity

  • Supervisory experience considered an asset

  • Able to lead a group of individuals and provide feedback on their tasks

  • Maintain a positive outlook and willingness to learn and contribute to company success

  • Maintain confidentiality and attain necessary skills/competencies

  • Able to take and give direction and follow all company policies/procedures

  • Must have an awareness of company needs and foresee potential problems

  • Dependable and punctual

  • Positive contribution and personal commitment/responsibility to a respectful workplace

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications

  • Knowledge of GPP/GAP/GMP regulations

  • Detail oriented with the ability to follow precise technical instruction

  • Physically able to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Ability to work with machine componentry in a production environment

  • WHIMIS/First Aid training considered an asset

  • Working at heights training considered an asset

  • Lift truck training considered an asset

Working Conditions:**

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and safety lift up to 50lbs

  • Must have good dexterity with a keen eye for precision while conducting repetitive tasks

  • Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time (I.e. gloves, lab coat, hair net)

  • Must be able to work in an enclosed and secure work area
