As a Brand Advertising Sales Manager you are responsible for tracking, recording, and monitoring sales team performance and resources across North America. You will be an expert on local and national cannabis market trends across North America, and stay on the cutting edge of emerging opportunities in the space. You will coach and develop your direct reports (Account Executives) to maximize your team’s contribution to overarching business goals and revenue objectives
The Brand Advertising Sales Manager will report to the Sr. Director, Brand Sales and Partnerships and will lead a team of Sales Account Executives to drive revenue growth with our brand partners through the acquisition of new partners and the development of existing ones. 


  • Hire and develop a team of high performing media sales professionals. Cultivate a healthy culture of team camaraderie and personal accountability in a remote work environment. 
  • Maintain an intense focus on achieving monthly and quarterly team revenue goal achievement by testing and optimizing different approaches, and coaching the team of AEs to evolve along the way in a fast paced environment. 
  • Identify new ways of approaching our existing markets to maximize yield, measured by TAM penetration and average account value by vertical. 
  • Build a strategy around TAM penetration with a focus on THC brands. Work cross-departmentally to implement that strategy in market, and measure performance against goal. 
  • Create an effective feedback loop to funnel client feedback trends to the areas of the business that can impact change. Advocate for improvements in those areas and see them through to completion. 
  • Address and resolve employee grievances. Provide feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action when needed, or effectively recommend such actions, to drive improvements to employee performance. 
  • Be the face of Leafly, build the Leafly brand in local markets and at industry trade shows. 


  • Background in sales/operations
  • Minimum of 5 years of relationship management experience in online media and/or advertising sales
  • Previous sales experience in which you demonstrated the ability to meet or exceed sales quotas
  • Self-motivated with strong proposal, contract execution, and closing talents
  • Highly effective and poised written and verbal communications skills 
  • Knowledgeable about Leafly and general interest in cannabis industry and legalization
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a commitment to execution of task; solution oriented 
  • Computer literate with Salesforce CRM, Google, and other digital marketing systems and social media networks
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively across different teams or departments
  • Deep understanding of web-based advertising 
  • 18 years or older
  • Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States


  • Sales development and/or media strategy experience a plus
