We are looking for a Retail General Manager to join the Pure Greens team at our La Contes location on Washington St. Could that leader, be you?

The Retail General Manager is a motivated professional who is passionate about working in the cannabis industry and someone that can make sure the customer experience always exceeds expectations. The Retail General Manager is primarily responsible for the management, maintenance, and supervision of day-to-day retail operations activity of the dispensary. This person will supervise retail employees and ensure daily business operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as with state regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, creating SOPs, addressing complaints, managing inventory, product and supply ordering, and resolving problems. This position reports to the District Manager.


  • P&L responsibility for store: Sales, Gross Margin, Cost of Goods Sold, SG&A Expense
  • Responsible for staffing, merchandising, assortments, organization and customer experience/satisfaction
  • Plan, Lead, Organize and Control all aspects of retail store operation
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations


  • Responsible for creating a great customer experience
  • Responsible for retail sales and creating effective promotions
  • Monitor sales floor for staffing, customer needs, service, atmosphere and security
  • Interface with vendors (MJ and Non-MJ), security staff and cultivation and marketing departments
  • Responsible for increasing sales and profitability by ensuring efficient operations, cost-saving measures, and increasing productivity
  • Maintain a culture of high quality customer service and communication
  • Follow company policies for security, compliance, inventory tracking, HR, etc
  • Must maintain current knowledge of all state and local laws and regulations for cannabis sales
  • All other responsibilities to maintain a compliant, efficient and profitable operation


  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, professional, fun and compliant work environment
  • Hire, train, and develop retail staff
  • Employee shift scheduling and PTO approvals
  • Employee evaluations
  • Documentation of employee company violations
  • Monitor and maintain employee morale
  • Manage and resolve employee conflict
  • All other responsibilities to maintain a compliant, efficient and profitable operation


  • Approve weekly sales orders (MJ and Non-MJ)
  • Monitor the METRC account daily to ensure accurate records
  • Establish par levels for inventoried items
  • Define inventory counting requirements (items that need to be counted and when)
  • Establish pricing based on company policies and guidelines
  • Supervise Inventory Manager to ensure inventory is organized, accurate and accounted for 24/7
  • Decide the appropriate item mix for retail floor

  • Eliminate products not moving and introduce new products as needed

  • Monitor Industry trends and adjust inventory as needed

  • Manage/Monitor inventory turn ratios

  • All other responsibilities to maintain a compliant, efficient and profitable operation


  • Ensure accuracy of all transactions, cash and records
  • Maintain current Sales Tax rates in POS
  • Reconcile daily Complex Sales Reports and cash drops and prepare for bank deposit
  • SOP’s

  • Define, organize and implement store SOP’s

  • Facility

  • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedule of store

  • Monitor expiration dates for all permits needed to operate in the City of Denver and State of Colorado (Denver Fire, Alarm Permits, Sales Tax, Fire Extinguishers, ect.)

  • Manage trash service and cleanliness of outside space

  • Ensure the use and maintenance of all required Compliance Logs (visitors, waste, DVR access, ect.)

  • Scan and save all logs monthly

  • All other responsibilities to maintain a compliant, efficient, and profitable operation


  • Retail Management: 2+ years of successful leadership/retail management experience in which you championed culture and achieved results through others
  • Inventory Management: 2+ yrs of monitoring inventory, managing software, and executing merchandise directives
  • Sales: 2+ yrs of achieving sales goals within a team environment
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado MED badge
  • Must have open availability; to include evenings, weekends, and holidays according to business needs
  • Cannabis experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
