Job Summary:

Tilray Brands, Inc. is seeking outgoing, friendly, and dynamic team players to join our Research and Development team. The Research & Development Technician will develop and commercialize new innovations by executing on assigned pre-formulation and formulation development activities in compliance with all regulatory (and other) guidelines.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Execute against assigned lab activities and maintain suitable scheduling to support new product development with quality and efficiency.

  • Perform and review chemical analysis on raw materials, bulk formulations, and finished goods.

  • Participate in formulation development and problem solving in a timely manner to support on time delivery of project objectives.

  • Prepare summary reports of project findings and report to management.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and good documentation practices.

  • Create and maintain the necessary documentation to develop and commercialize new innovations (lab notebooks, specification creation, test method etc).

  • Knowledge of formulation development, data analysis, and excipient compatibility assessment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements**

  • B.Sc (or MSc) in a science-related field; preferably chemistry or biology.

  • Working knowledge of Design of Experiments.

  • Excellent Communication

  • Experience in product and flavour development an asset

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or natural health industry considered an asset

  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills

  • Detail-oriented and excellent time management skills.

  • Ability to obtain results with minimal supervision

  • Experience working under GMP/GPP considered an asset.

  • Familiar with USP, AOAC, and other standards used in food and drug industries
