Job Summary

  • The Purchasing Sales Manager is responsible for managing wholesale key accounts, acquiring new business, facilitating educational trainings for internal and external retail teams. This position will help coordinate new product launches and develop a sales plan to achieve distribution goals. We are looking for a sales-oriented individual that can build strong relationships with our key wholesale partners and serve as a brand ambassador for our products and services. This position works closely with the AYR sales team and cross functional partners to meet our financial forecast and obtain year over year growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all sales efforts for our key wholesale accounts
  • Communicate & coordinate all sales coordination and marketing proposals with key accounts.
  • Coordinate Key Account programs and track in order to grow sales and product distribution

  • Provide regular updates on the status of our key wholesale accounts to the Director of Wholesale & Procurement.

  • Source and monitor new business opportunities and assist with sales contracts

  • Solicit wholesale orders and assist in the customer facing fulfillment process

  • Develop new accounts, drive sales with existing accounts and establish key customer relationships

  • Meet or exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

  • Monitor customer, and competitor trends and provide a periodic market analysis and develop training plan in order to enhance the position of the AYR portfolio.

  • Manage balance of trade efforts with vertical Key Accounts with AYR national and local Procurement Team

  • Coordinate and manage MA white label program with director of operations and wholesale to ensure consistent quality and velocity of sales.

  • Maintain regular communication and perform a rotation of dispensary visits with our key customers

  • Train and develop new sales team members on AYR portfolio and production process.

  • Schedule, coordinate and execute training events to promote our brand and educate our partners and internal retail teams on the AYR portfolio

  • Maintain and continually develop the training modules to keep up with new brand launches and marketplace trends.

  • Manage promotional plans, advertising programs, and educational initiatives to drive sales with key customers

  • Facilitate tours and trainings of AYR production and cultivation facilities for clients and members of AYR retail teams.

  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.

  • Embodies the culture, values, full support of our purpose, goal, and key objectives.

Qualifications

  • A strong track record in B2B sales
  • Bachelors degree and/or at least 5 years experience in B2B wholesale sales preferred
  • Proven results with achieving growth and building customer relationships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent people and time management skills

  • Ability to recognize and respond to changing trends and priorities

  • Knowledge of and experience in the cannabis industry preferred, but not required

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently

  • Always demonstrates high ethical and professional standards

  • Demonstrates honesty and integrity and behaviors in accordance with the company vision, mission, policies and procedures

  • Must have own auto, valid drivers license, and insurance

  • Is willing to travel as needed

Preferred Experience

  • Cannabis experience preferred or another highly regulated industry.

Education

  • Equivalent combination of work/education experience accepted

Experience

  • 6-10 years

Working conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.

Occasional travel to dispensaries/manufacturing facility may be required.

Physical requirements

  • Regularly works in outside conditions that include susceptibility to weather, heat, cold, and humidity.
  • Physical requirements may include sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, carrying boxes, and ability to pull or life up to 50 pounds.
  • Consistently able to operate a computer, telecommunications device, and other applicable office equipment.

  • Must be able to constantly remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.

  • The person must frequently communicate with staff, vendors, clients and wholesale team regarding sales processes and procedure. Must be able to exchange accurate information during occurrences.
