Position Tittle: Production Associate
Reporting to: Production Supervisor
Location: Auburndale, FL

Position Summary
The Production Associate performs all post-harvest functions including trimming, packaging, labeling, and recordkeeping. This position is cross-trained and responsible for rotating between all functional areas. This person must exercise care to ensure products adhere to Insa's quality control standards. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and conscientious and enjoys repetitive manual work.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Performs manual trim functions such as trimming cured flower from stems, weighing and measuring to divide batches into units, and filling prerolls using knockbox machine
- Performs manual packaging functions including filling distillate reservoirs, tincture bottles, pens, packaging, etc., and packaging units into shelf-ready packs (SRPs)
- Operates flower packaging machine including drop weighing and feeding packages and labels into sealing mechanism
- Utilizes grading system to determine designation for sale as flower or for concentrates; reports any sup-optimal flower or deficiencies to department leadership
- Performs quality control checks and ensures uniformity
- Maintains accurate labeling of all items, SRPs, and batches
- Maintains accurate recordkeeping in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Sorts and catalogues waste in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Maintains an organized and sanitary work area, including all machinery
- Maintains a safe work environment, actively contributing to continuous improvements and wearing proper PPE
- Meets and exceed daily and weekly weight goals set by department leadership
- Report any sub-optimal flower or deficiencies to department leadership

Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior packaging and inventory experience a plus
- Experience using inventory software and Excel a plus
- Experience working in a production environment preferred
- Enjoyment of repetitive manual work
- Care and attention to detail in order to ensure product standards are met
- Focused on efficiency in order to meet production goals
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and or stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to use a step ladder
- Manual dexterity needed for manipulating hand tools
- Fine motor skills and ability to use hands and fingers to precisely and accurately fill, package, and label products
- Close visual acuity to read fine print on product labels and equipment screens

Working Environment
- Warehouse/production facility environment with environmental controls
- Consistent moderate background noise level due to machinery and HVAC
- Exposure to keef/dust and cannabis odor
- Exposure to skin contact with plants, to which some individuals may be allergic
