MISS JONES CANNABIS OUTPOSTS MARKETING MANAGER Reporting to the VP of Development/Marketing, the Miss Jones Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and executing marketing plans that drive sales and increase customer loyalty within regulatory frameworks. Key components of this position include creating consumer insights, monitoring trends, creating marketing strategies and plans, developing integrated campaigns, and monitoring/improving market results. Working closely with Senior Management of Miss Jones, the Marketing Manager will manage the day-to-day marketing activities and long-term marketing strategy for Miss Jones. The Marketing Manager will act as an advisor to the business on all aspects of marketing, digital curation, online community development, as well as ensuring our brand is strongly executed and delivered effectively to the customer. Key Responsibilities: General Understand and comply with regulatory mandates in the cannabis industry Responsible for planning, development, and implementation of Miss Jones marketing strategies, marketing communication and public relations activities Manage and coordinate the day-to-day execution of all marketing initiatives and activities within the Miss Jones Marketing department Produce monthly marketing reports and provide actionable insights Work within the overall marketing strategy, and assist in key strategy development according to analytical findings Responsible for all aspects of customer acquisition efforts across marketing channels (online, offline, mobile, social, events) to create demand and awareness Develop strategy, tools and processes to track and measure customer retention Leverage customer insights, analytics and segmentation to increase customer retention targets in support of store sales Work with other departments to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to ensure alignment in customer retention strategies and customer experience Conduct general market research to keep up-to-date on trends and competitor’s marketing movements Work with Miss Jones Senior Management to identify and implement partnerships with LP’s and industry leaders Ensure all communication is aligned with brand strategy, consistent in terms of style, quality and voice, and optimized for search and user experience Oversee key agency relationships; including media buying, public relations, consumer experience to ensure excellence in execution and meaningful ROI Sustain rapport with store locations and management by organising regular meetings; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities; ensuring end-to-end communication Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential Financial Management Contribute to meeting marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, tracking sales and spend, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions Create, monitor and track monthly spend at both a store and head office level Plan KPIs for each campaign, ensuring ROI targets are being met and monitored Assist with annual budget development and manage departmental budget and expenses Digital Marketing Planning Develop continuous optimization strategies to improve the performance of paid search strategies Manage and support all SEM/SEO initiatives Develop and design innovative and compliant marketing materials (including but not limited to e-blasts, promotional videos/media, print and digital advertisements) Oversee all content creation for websites, online communities, blogs, social media platforms, and other tools that are used to market and communicate with consumers Monitor site content and ensure information displayed on the website is accurate and current and has no broken links Evaluate and improve process efficiencies and identify opportunities to optimize spend Content Development Work with the marketing team to develop and iterate content strategies for the Miss Jones brand Analyze and report on content marketing data, using data to drive content decisions Work closely with Graphic Designers to develop a strong visual signature and identity for the brand Skills and Qualifications Degree in Marketing, Business or related field and/or equivalent experience Experience developing and executing best-practice driven marketing strategy, preferably in the retail industry or the cannabis, alcohol or tobacco industry Event planning & management experience In depth knowledge / expertise of the cannabis industry Solid business acumen and strategic business sense Ability to develop and manage business plans as well as budgets Excellent communication skills – verbal, written & presentation Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders Proven leadership skills – people and marketplace, lead by example by demonstrating a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and willingness to learn Strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills, and the ability to apply consistent attention to needs of the business Creative thinker, results-driven, team player NOTE: Security clearance will be requested for this position. Candidate must be able to pass a criminal record check.
