About the Role

We’re looking for a Demand Planning Manager to join our Inventory Management team. The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for a diverse portfolio of products. The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for developing accurate statistical demand forecasts that will enable the OCS to accurately predict customer demand; driving replenishment orders and inventory flow across the network to deliver Sales, Fill-Rate, In-Stocks and Inventory Turns.

About Your Day

  • Lead business processes and systems that allow for effective and efficient demand forecast processes that feed into the supply network planning
  • Ensure that supply chain has ability to deliver product on time to the customer and address supply chain issues as needed
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure that strategic initiatives and tactical plans are incorporated into the forecast
  • Deliver insight into possible root causes of forecast errors, develop and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement
  • Establish and cultivate strategic relationships with suppliers and external customers.
  • Responsible for vendor enquires and resolution on forecasting
  • Maintain KPIs to drive better product availability and enhance inventory productivity
  • Review third-party warehouse inventory levels, ensure planning systems condition the optimal stock levels for customer fulfillment as per the demand plan
  • Identify, recommend, and implement processes or tools that aim to improve the business
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align to business objectives and initiatives to execute strategies based on customer preferences.
  • Collaborate with finance and merchandising departments to lead key processes that support the sub-category Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning
  • Work with Finance department to assist in facilitating the completion of inventory evaluations in preparation for external financial audits
  • Contribute to and/or lead projects with cross-functional teams that align to company strategies, focus on projects that reduce costs, inventory levels across the business, and improve product flow
  • In conjunction with HR; Hire, develop and inspire a highly qualified team of professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, transparency and accountability within the department and throughout the OCS.
  • Ensure that the team has the competence and skills to execute business-critical projects by partnering with L&D to create learning plans.
  • Build and direct a high performing team that consistently meets or exceeds expectations by assuring process compliance, ensuring appropriate training and feedback, increasing team aptitude to seek and utilize better forecasting and replenishment science.

About You

  • Post-Secondary Education in Supply Chain, Demand Planning or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Industrial Engineering or Business
  • Completion of a professional supply chain certification(s): Ex. Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Retail Supply Chain Certification Program (RSCC), Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP)
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior time management, priority management and organizational skills
  • Proven experience managing complex internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Experience using Power BI or Tableau
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Microsoft Excel
