Manager, Billing & Payments

As a Manager, Billing and Payments at Weedmaps, you have a passion for supporting a high-performing team; delivering the best in class customer service, and building rapport. With a customer-centric mindset, you will supervise your team to go above and beyond to build trust while providing support on all billing and payment needs. In this role, you will be responsible for coaching your team on quality, productivity, and success in processing payments on their due date; executing payment arrangements as needed. You will also monitor the queues and reports to ensure we are meeting service levels and KPIs, making adjustments to schedules as needed. You will surprise and delight by taking ownership of any escalated issues, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner; reporting and sharing trends so that we can proactively resolve and communicate issues with appropriate departments.

The impact you'll make:

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact on account level issues while escalating major decisions and issues to the Director
  • Directly manage Revenue Integrity and Retention Team that includes Associates, Specialists to achieve monthly targets/goals.
  • Develop and coach direct reports to achieve goals and metrics
  • Audit and close-won sales opportunities
  • Ensure team is logging all contacts with effective notes
  • Manage the activation/deactivation of accounts
  • Execute payment arrangements with aging accounts over 60 days with the assigned Specialist
  • Suggest and assist as a stakeholder with respect to new tools
  • Monitor and manage aging accounts
  • Monitor and manage license audits
  • Keep leadership informed about the status of core operational processes and KPIs.
  • Consistently and effectively monitor and evolve Billing and Collections processes

What you've accomplished:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Lead or Supervisor for A/R Collections or Billing and Payments team
  • 5+ years customer service experience
  • 5+ years of experience in A/R
  • 1+ year experience using Salesforce, preferred
  • 1+ year experience Quality Monitoring and coaching
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience using SaaS products
  • BA Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong planning, analytical and organizational skills
