Job Title: Kitchen Associate I

Position Summary
The Kitchen Associate I is responsible for performing packaging functions in the Kitchen area, ensuring all edible products are packaged in accordance with standard operating procedures and comply with state cannabis regulations. This person must maintain a sanitary work area at all times.
Responsibilities & Duties

  • Packages edible products for sale, including weighing, measuring, labeling, and packing units into boxes, tins, and self-ready packs (SRPs)

  • Utilizes wrapping and packaging machinery, ensuring accurate item counts and weights and performing quality control spot checks to ensure uniformity

  • Maintains accurate labeling of all items, SRPs, and batches

  • Maintains accurate recordkeeping in accordance with standard operating procedures

  • Sorts and catalogues waste in accordance with standard operating procedures

  • Maintains an organized and sanitary work area, including all machinery; wears appropriate PPE when performing tasks

  • Maintains a safe work environment, actively contributing to continuous improvements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Experience working in food service or food handling required

  • Experience working in a production environment preferred

  • Maintains proper cleanliness to ensure food safety

  • Attention to detail in all aspects of responsibilities, including but not limited to documentation, compliance, adherence to standard operating procedures, and equipment and area hygiene and safety

  • Must communicate professionally at all times

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent repetitive hand motion

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (8+ hours)

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs, including hot and cold items

  • Ability to push and pull

  • Manual dexterity needed for manipulating food items and tools

  • Visual acuity needed to accurately read small screens and labels
