The Opportunity 

Reporting to the VP, Investor Relations and Competitive Intelligence, Investor Relations and Competitive Intelligence will be part of a high-caliber Investor Relations team within the Finance Department at Canopy Growth. This position will perform a variety of business tasks including supporting the strategic planning, direction and execution of the Investor Relations function, liaising with the investment community, as well as providing competitive and market insights and updates for the key stakeholders within the organization. In this role, you will work closely with the Director, Investor Relations to maintain day-to-day Investor Relations functions and engage with investors and sell-side analysts driving transparent communication that adheres to the SEC’s requirements for disclosure. You will also be responsible for providing market insights to key internal stakeholders, to help inform and support internal strategy and decision-making. Ideal candidates will possess solid financial acumen, keen interest in capital markets, strong communication skills and are independent problem solvers who can also work collaboratively in a team setting. 

Responsibilities 
- Assist in all key Investor Relations and Competitive Intelligence initiatives
- Coordinate quarterly earnings process including scheduling calls with business leaders, gathering consensus estimates, arranging calls with analysts/investors
- Support development of investor presentations including earnings presentation, conference and analyst day presentations
- Maintain sell-side and buy-side contact list and log interactions
- Support the organization of all investor events including analyst days, field-trips, conference participation and non-deal roadshows
- Filter questions and requests for documents from institutional investors and other members of the financial community
- Coordinate annual shareholder meeting and assist with drafting related documents as required
- Contribute to the internal Weekly Competitive update and Quarterly Competitive update report
- Assist in developing regular Board materials including Quarterly Shareholder Update Report and Competitive Update Report
- Maintain competitive P&L analysis on a timely basis
- Other duties as assigned

Experience 
- 2 Years minimum experience in capital markets, investor relations or finance/accounting
- Ability to understand and analyze basic financial statements is a must
- Experience with SEC governed disclosure requirements is an asset
- Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (‘CPG’) industries is an asset
- Ability to manage and prioritize competing projects, with tight deadlines
- Great communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across many teams
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Office suite programs
- This is a 14-month contract position based remotely, with some travel required, as needed.
