JOB SUMMARY:

If you are a highly motivated sales professional within the licensed cannabis industry and you are an Independent Contractor already representing other brands and you want to grow your sales commissions this may be the opportunity for you. Our network of Independent Contractors are self-driven and dedicated sales representatives, not just order takers. They focus on strategic account building to increase sales revenue and market share. You are great for this role if you are an experienced cannabis sales professional in the Greater Sacramento Area with existing relationships within the industry. You are self-driven, dedicated to explosive growth, resourceful, a strong negotiator and great at building meaningful business relationships. You must have a strong problem solving acumen and the ability to multitask and prioritize to hit sales targets and achieve goals. Business-to-business cannabis sales experience is REQUIRED along with the understanding of driving sell-through at the retail level.

WHAT YOU’RE GOOD AT:

  • First and foremost, acquiring new accounts.
  • Nurturing existing accounts to increase revenue and market share.
  • Negotiating with and influencing dispensary Buyers to win deals and grow accounts.
  • Creating and implementing sales strategies to achieve sales targets and company goals.
  • Understanding customer needs and creating specialized sales strategies to support each customer’s specific needs.
  • Completing multiple tasks simultaneously while still maintaining great customer service and positive and clear communications with customers and team members.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Implementing and executing a sales strategy/process that continuously acquires new accounts.
  • Managing existing retailer relationships in the Greater Southern. California territory and grow the monthly revenue from those accounts by negotiating expanded shelf-space and broader product assortments.
  • Acting strategically to close new business, support current partners and prioritize work effectively.
  • Completing sales administrative work in a timely manner.
  • Allocating the majority of time in the field to ensure sufficient personalized interactions to enhance customer relationships.
  • Understanding the target customer and educate dispensary Buyers on how company products best serve their customers.
  • Utilize data and/or sales reporting analytics to create sales strategies and selling tactics.
  • Demonstrating the connection between efforts with actual results to validate performance.
  • Possess in depth knowledge of products, along with the ability to educate buyers, customers, and business partners on the nuances and specifics of product offerings.
  • Scheduling and supporting in-store brand activations including Staff Training/Budtender Education, In-store Demos and Events to promote products and increase product sell-through.
  • Collaborating with marketing team to support sales and marketing activities.
  • Monitoring product and industry trends, propose ideas and adjust processes accordingly.
  • Identifying competition and potential opportunities and work proactively to grow and maintain shelf space.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize to hit targets and achieve goals.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Located in the Greater Sacramento area.
  • REQUIRED 2+ years in a cannabis sales role with proven track-record of sales success
  • Experience setting and executing a sales strategy to achieve goals.
  • General understanding of marketing and how to leverage it to increase sales.
  • Able to drive for long periods at a time.
  • Must have unlimited access to reliable, registered and insured transportation that meets the State of California’s requirements.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $1.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:

Independent Contractor Sales Representatives must comply with all Federal, State and Local Health and Safety protocols and requirements as well as those of local Store Operators.
