About the Role

We’re looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Reporting and Business Intelligence team. The Financial Analyst, FP&A leverages experience in accounting, finance and business analysis to provide accurate and timely forecasting & management reporting capabilities. The Financial Analyst (FP&A) supports the achievement of corporate objectives by compiling and reporting on budget and forecast information for both internal and external customers. The Financial Analyst, FP&A will work closely with cross- functional teams to drive insights and build business cases that inform decision- making across the organization.

About Your Day

  • Support the development of the budget, forecast, and a three-year plan for OCS
  • Develop financial models and other key analyses to drive initiatives, monitor trends, and identify exceptions
  • Identify, quantify, and address risks and opportunities to business results
  • Assist with preparing various financial analysis and presentations for senior leaders
  • Support the preparation of standardized monthly reporting for management including revenue and cost analysis, perform budget reviews (actual vs. budget), forecasting, and business analytics
  • Provide variance analysis to explain differences in performance vs. forecasts and budget
  • Foster and develop business partnerships with functional and departmental leaders
  • Support the development of new processes and new reporting to better understand the company’s financial landscape
  • Identify and execute against ad hoc analytical projects that deepen business insight and drive value within the OCS
  • Identify and recommend improvements to the FP&A processes for greater efficiency
  • Assist with special FP&A projects as needed
  • Support the Senior Financial Analysts to fulfill team deliverables

About You

  • Post-Secondary education in Finance or Accounting or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
  • 1+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is preferred
  • Achieved or actively pursuing a recognized accounting accreditation [CA/CMA/CGA/CPA]
  • Strong analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills to provide professional analysis and recommendations
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills [Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.]
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to develop superior working relationships, confidence and acceptance with all management and staff throughout the OCS
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize duties
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
