Job Description

If you like to be always moving and learning new things, take pride in your work and are interested in learning about the cannabis plant from seed to harvest, and you enjoy hard work, read on!

The work of a cultivation technician varies day to day and sometimes hour to hour. Do you really need to be able to lift up to 50-pound bag of fertilizer? Yes, not all the time but regularly, and sometimes, it will be 50 pounds. Do you have to be comfortable on a ladder? Yes, there are some days you may climb up and down a letter more than 25 times! Do you have to be comfortable working in a hot and humid environment? Yes, the average temperature in our facility is 75-85 degrees - remember, we are growing plants, so it gets hot and sweaty - not so much in the wintertime though! We are doing amazing work at Ascend Wellness in our effort to ensure cannabis is available to everyone and it starts with the Cultivation Technician to ensure we produce high quality cannabis!

Shifts: Initially, you will work

Upstairs Headhouse Team A -Sunday - Tuesday alternating Wednesday's 6am - 6pm / Team B - Alternating Wednesday's, Thursday - Saturday 6am - 6pm

Greenhouse Team A - 6:am - 4:30pm Sunday - Wednesday / Team B - Wednesday 6am - 4:30pm, Thursday - Saturday 6:30am - 5pm

Cultivation Technicians are responsible for executing production plans in keeping with the Company's operating procedures. Cultivators carry out the day-to-day assignments and tasks of Cannabis production cycle including cloning and harvesting. You will learn all steps of the process as it relates to harvesting, drying, and curing cannabis. This will include a lot of standing and kneeling for up to 10 hours/day. You will ensure the grow area is clean and pest-free and be responsible for other duties as assigned.


  • Must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the state; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and laws is appreciated and commendable
  • Fundamental knowledge, as well as the ability to be taught and guided in areas related to harvesting, drying, trimming, and curing
  • Skill in analyzing potential problems with a plant or the product being processed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of grow warehouse
  • Must have accountability, proactive behavior, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stand, sit and kneel for up to 10 hours a day with the ability to lift heavy object
  • Strong attention to details and excellent time-management skills

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Full knowledge of all applicable law, regulations, and requirements to keep the facility at 100% compliance at all times, this includes being up to date on any changes to current applicable laws/regulations
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Registered Agent Card issued by the state of operation
  • Must have excellent organization and time management skills
  • Must be focused, pay close attention to detail
  • Must be able to internalize training and follow instructions
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
