Position Summary:

Assist lead budtenders and management team with the activities and operations of the store, while abiding by policies, procedures and operational guidelines. Responsible for taking orders from guests in a timely manner while providing outstanding guest service and demonstrating advanced product knowledge. This position will also assist guests on the floor, interacting with guests and building long-lasting relationships.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for helping customers in retail locations in accordance with Mighty Tree’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.

  • Responsible for retail product knowledge so as to assist customers in making the right choices.

  • Advising customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.

  • Keeping abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as industry trends through research.

  • Educating customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products.

  • Processing customers’ payments using the dispensary’s Point of Sale (POS) system.

  • Correct cash handling and discount application.

  • Correctly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products as required.

  • Checking customers’ ID documents to verify that they are of legal age.

  • Verifying proper paperwork and documentation for customers/patients.

  • Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring the sales floor is adequately stocked.

  • Ensuring the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times.

  • Inspire customer confidence and create loyalty to our brand.

  • Assisting lead or manager on shift with opening and closing duties.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

  • Knowledge and consistent demonstration of excellent customer service skills.

  • Knowledge and adherence to the policies, procedures and goals of Mighty Tree.

  • Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.

  • Ability to use standard registers, office equipment, computer equipment and software including electronic mail.

  • Ability to comfortably and correctly handle cash, and reconcile register at end of shift.

  • Ability to work effectively with employees, management, customers, other governmental agencies, community members and the general public.

  • Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.

Working Conditions:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance), may include sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching.


  • Applicant must be 21 years of age or older

  • Applicant must possess a current industry badge

  • Regular, on-time attendance

  • Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend, evening, and holiday shifts and occasional store location movement.

  • Hours may occasionally exceed 40 hours per week
