Role Summary:

The Analytics team is responsible for generating insights, solutions and recommendations that drive high-quality decisioning across the company ? spanning multiple geographies and functional areas including sales, operations, finance, M&A, marketing, merchandising, real estate, HR, retail, cultivation, production, and supply chain.


The Analyst role is responsible for delivering quality and relevant analytics solutions across a wide range of analytics technologies and architectures including big data platforms, enterprise data warehouses, and multiple reporting and analytics frameworks and tools. The candidate will be working with several levels of management and must have the ability to present digestible, actionable, trusted insights and recommendations that drive business decisions. The position will require the candidate to be technically capable with a high degree of business acumen.


The person in this role will partner closely with the Reporting and Data Engineering teams.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Develop and enhance reporting/analytics solutions, data models, dashboards and performance metrics utilized by a variety of internal customers by

    • Consulting with customers to determine reporting needs

    • Translating customer needs into a user-friendly output

    • Prototyping and testing solutions before production build

    • Creating training materials for peers as needed

    • Monitoring the utilization of reporting solutions; identifying and implementing enhancements to increase user experience



  • Leverage technology and analytics to consult on the definition of KPIs for various company programs

  • Produce ad-hoc analysis and data extracts to support business needs

  • Transform data into insights and synthesize insights into stories. Clearly and effectively communicate data stories to leadership

  • Serve as the analytics resource in business meetings and strategy sessions to facilitate decisions grounded in data

  • Interface with the reporting group to define and validate recurring and ad hoc reports as required to complete business analytics

  • Utilize data analysis to highlight performance, risk, and opportunities and to identify and generate key insights which support development of action plans to achieve business targets.

  • Conduct market analyses, analyzing product lines, customers, and overall profitability of the business.

  • Provide industry knowledge as a key input to analysis and business recommendations

  • Develop thorough understanding of the Trulieve business model to identify and analyze key drivers

  • Spot and communicate trends and anomalies from seemingly chaotic data

  • Participate in peer reviews for analysis design and results

  • Query large data sets, apply unit and regressions testing to validate query logic

  • Use data to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analysis


WORKING CONDITIONS:



  • Office or remote home-office based

  • Limited domestic travel possible

  • Reports to the Manager of Reporting and Analytics


Skill and Qualifications:



  • 1-4+ years of experience with a proven track record as an Analyst

  • B.S. or B.A. Degree; preferably in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Operations Research

  • Team-centric, service-minded, committed, and passionate; displaying integrity and honesty in a competitive environment

  • Self-motivated, continuous improvement mindset and can work with minimal direction and can drive results

  • Inquisitive mindset; ability to drill deeper through analytics paths searching for insights

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement

  • Ability to understand and communicate developments in business changes and results and to translate into financial consequences

  • Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple projects and demands from various functional units and geographies

  • Strong presentation and written communication skills; skilled in MSWord and PowerPoint

  • Experience with cloud reporting tools such as Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud, and PowerBI

  • Experience with Excel pivot tables and power query

  • Skilled in SQL coding and developing queries and joins from relational, NoSQL, and file-based data structures (such as Hadoop, AWS S3)

  • Experience with querying in the native SAP HANA database and virtual structures

  • Knowledge of core functions and data within SAP S/4 is preferred

  • Experience with analytics in retail and wholesale industries is required; experience with data generated in regulated industries such as pharma, alcohol, tobacco, or cannabis is a plus

  • Must be able to pass a level 2 background check
